About Irwindale Dragstrip

 

Be a spectator your first time. Look, listen and learn! If possible, go with someone that has gone before. Look at the track officials and see how they direct the racers by hand gestures. This is very important.

 

Irwindale Dragstrip offers a 1/8th Mile NHRA sanctioned dragstrip with a concrete starting box and featuring a 1/2 mile run-out.

 

Lined with 24 billboards on the south side, the two lanes provide great racing action for the capacity 3,000 grandstand area to the North.

 

Host of Thursday Night Thunder, where for just $40 you can bring your car for open Test and Tune.  Gates open at 4pm and track is open from 5-10pm on most Thursday nights. ALL cars must comply to NHRA Safety Standards.

 

Additionally, the 1/8th mile which was resurfaced in Feb 2018 host the SUMMIT ET Race Series, a 6 round series of bracket racing featuring Super Pro, Sportsmen and Bikes as well as Jr Dragsters. Select Saturday’s also offer racing action for various events and is available for rental.
